Black Desert Mobile is an iOS and Android adaptation of the popular MMORPG Black Desert Online. The game will charge players to uncover the hidden secrets of the ancients by following the Black Spirit. Some questions about controller support, family names and the best classes have been raised by players, so we are here to provide advice and practical tips to help you on your way.

Does Black Desert Mobile offer controller support?

The answer here is both yes and no. Yes, Black Desert Mobile offers support for Bluetooth controller, but functionality is limited at best. This means that you can connect a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One bluetooth controller to your iPhone or Android device, but you only get limited functionality out of it.

What does that mean exactly? You can use the controller to do things like move the camera, use your character and basic attack movements. However, if you use the controller to select onscreen buttons and navigate the menu, you must use your fingers.

Some players have suggested that they could avoid this by using a controller with card functions, but most people probably don’t have that on hand. It is unclear whether Pearl Abyss plans to further expand support for the Black Desert Mobile controller or leave it as it is.

What is a family name in Black Desert Online?

If you are a Black Desert veteran, you will probably be familiar with it Family names, but if you are new to the game or have been away for a while, a brief explanation will go a long way. In Black Desert Mobile, your last name is essentially your last name, a name that is unique to you and all your characters on the server.

You can change your family name by purchasing a discount coupon in the store, but it is not free. It will cost you 400 pearls, which amounts to $ 10 / £ 7. After you have purchased the discount coupon, you can change your last name. This Black Desert Mobile tip should help you when you start.

Black Desert Mobile – Last name versus sign name

As the name suggests, your character name is just your first name, while your last name is your last name. So if your character got a name, John Doe (I know, creative, right?), Then your character would be John and your family name would be Doe. Each new character changes a new character name, but retains the same last name. Hopefully this Black Desert Mobile tip will go a long way to explaining the difference.

Black Desert Mobile Class – Which should you choose?

Perhaps the biggest question players ask is which Black Desert Mobile class should you choose? Although there is no correct answer, the class you choose influences the appearance and fighting style of your character.

There are currently five Black Desert Mobile classes available in the game, and more will come in the future. Below is a list of all five classes:

  • Huge
  • Ranger
  • Walkure
  • warrior
  • Witch

Although there is no good answer to which class is the best to choose, each class is probably better for different players based on their playing style.

The Huge class is best for those who like to play and cause chaos. With a high DPS (damage per second) you can cause a lot of damage to enemies fairly quickly. On the other hand, the Ranger class offers a mix of melee and distance fighting. Although it still offers a high DPS, you can also do a fair amount of damage remotely.

The Walkure class in Black Desert Mobile is best for those who want to play a supporting role. As Valkyrie you can use recovery spells and defensive help to keep your team alive.

The warrior is perhaps one of the best all-round Black Desert Mobile lessons. With a nice balance, players can try their hand to play both an attacking and a defensive role. The Witch is similar to the Ranger because it can do a lot of damage to enemies very quickly, but you have to be careful because this class can’t do a lot of damage.

Black Desert Mobile Auto Attack / Combat

Black Desert Mobile offers players the option of using an automatic attack / combat function that makes fighting a lot easier. However, it is not immediately available, so it can be a little confusing to figure out how to unlock and use automatic attacks / battles.

To unlock auto attack / fight, you need the Old stone room story quest, which will come around level 13. Once you have completed that mission, you can use the automatic attack function.

After you unlock it, you should see a button on your screen when you are in combat, which you can use to activate the automatic attack function. Just press the button every time you are in a fight and want to use it and you will immediately attack all nearby enemies.

Does Black Desert Mobile pay to win?

As with any mobile game, many questions are asked about Black Desert Mobile micro transactions and whether it is a paying game to win. The game offers a premium currency called Black Pearls, which players in the store can use to purchase more item storage, pets, cosmetics and more.

Players can also earn Black Pearls by playing the game as a reward, but as you would expect it will take longer. Although players who purchase Black Pearls may have a small advantage, Black Desert Online is generally not a reward for winning the game and we believe that the micro transactions are processed properly.

What is the Black Desert Mobile Max level?

Players can ‘Awaken’ their character at level 65, which will essentially change their playing style. Once your character class is awakened, you get new skills, weapons and more.

Each of the Black Desert Mobile classes offers different types of awakening. You can see the awakening of each class below:

  • Giant – Destroyer
  • Ranger – Windwalker
  • Valkyrie – Lancer
  • Warrior – Berkserker
  • Witch – Archmage
