COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Division of Police is asking for answers on a homicide that happened in 2014.

On Dec. 13, 2014, at approximately 1:23 a.m., officers were working in the area of the Schrock Tavern on the 1400 block of Schrock Road.

Officers heard a gunshot near the rear of the business. When they arrived, they found Tyquan Collins running across the parking lot and then collapsed.

Police said they found gunshot wounds on Collins’s upper body. He was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he later died.

Columbus police believe there was an altercation inside the bar. Security then removed the people involved from the bar.

The shooting occurred shortly after the altercation, police said. Collins is believed to be one of people involved in the altercation.
